When E-911 takes effect, the address will become 446 Shunpike Road. Robert Selzer was promoted to senior vice president of technology at SAL Inc. in South Burlington. Selzer has been with SAL since its inception in 1994. He was senior product manager of the X-ray lithography program at the companys predecessor, Karl Suss. Clint Malson has joined South Burlington advertising/marketing firm The Genesis Group as senior graphic designer. Malson was a graphic coordinator with Sugarbush Resort. Jane Burroughs has advanced to manager at Fothergill Segale & Valley, Certified Public Accountants in Montpelier. Burroughs has been with the firm since 1995. Sandie Conners was promoted to property manager at Coburn & Feeley Property Management of Burlington. Marsha D. Wimble was named manager of Vermont National Banks Randolph office. Wimble oversees a staff of five and is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the branch. She began her career at the bank in 1990. Most recently, Wimble was branch operations officer. Engineering Ventures Inc. in Burlington announced that Wendy B. Pelletier, P.E., has become project engineer. Pelletier has 16 years of experience in facilities engineering and structural consulting. Vermont Gas Systems Inc. of South Burlington promoted Brian Gray to gas control supervisor; appointed Gary Pfender meter technician; hired Al Johnson as production and instrumentation technician; hired Barbara Naramore as administrative services coordinator; and hired Brooke Tsounis as customer service representative. Bob Crews has joined Hickok & Boardman Financial Services group benefits division as vice president. Crews has 15 years of experience with group insurance with Cigna HealthCare/Connecticut General, where he was senior underwriter and senior account executive/manager for Cignas Vermont marketplace. He joins Dan Johnson in the Burlington office. Robert Goetz joined Riser Management Systems, L.P. in Burlington as communications counsel. Goetz comes to the company with 14 years of legal experience, most recently as an attorney with Burak Anderson & Melloni in Burlington, where he represented Bell Atlantic Mobile in telecommunications projects throughout the state. Deborah Sawyer joined as marketing assistant to George Adler, senior vice president, business development. Sawyer has 12 years of communications experience, most recently as a communications consultant with New Generation Communications and office manager of the American Heart Association, both in Williston. Karen Chagnon has become office manager. Chagnon has more than 19 years of managerial experience, most recently as office manager with Herrick & Co. in Stowe. Pamela Place has joined the firm as customer service representative. Place held a similar position with American International Distribution Center in Williston. Riser provides telecommunications design, engineering, management, financing and consulting services to office and high- rise residential properties. Michele S. Gatto was named senior vice president and general counsel of National Life Insurance Co. in Montpelier. Gatto is responsible for all of the companys legal affairs. She was previously vice president, general counsel and secretary of Massachusetts Casualty Insurance Co. and has a long association with the Paul Revere Insurance Group, serving as vice president and assistant general counsel. Gatto is a member of the American and Massachusetts bar associations, the American Corporate Counsel Association, the Association of Life Insurance Counsel and the New England Corporate Counsel Association. She serves on the American Counsel of Life Insurance Subcommittee on Regulatory Matters and is a member of the steering committee for the Defense Research Institute Life, Health and Disability Insurance. The Colchester Community Development Corp. (CCDC) board of directors appointed Douglas Robertson interim president, replacing Herbert A. Durfee III, who resigned as president Feb. 26. CCDC board chairperson Lainnie LaCroix made the announcement. Robertson was the organizations first executive director when it was incorporated in 1985. He was instrumental in the development of Exit 16 and in assisting the Hampton Inn and Costco locate in Colchester. After his first three years with the CCDC, he was president and CEO of New England Planning and Development Corp. He most recently served as a consultant for Robertson Associates in Colchester. Laura J. Cummings was named mortgage loan officer for Banknorth Mortgage Co. Inc. Her office is located at Howard Bank in Burlington and she is responsible for developing mortgage business in the Burlington area. Cummings was mortgage loan officer with Direct Financial Services, a subsidiary of New England Federal Credit Union, where she was recognized as one of the top mortgage originators in Chittenden County. She also has experience as loan originator at the Bank of Vermont. Bertek Inc., a producer of transdermal patches, medical components and pharmaceutical labels in St. Albans, has changed its name to Mylan Technologies Inc. Bertek was purchased by Mylan Laboratories in 1993. The name change reflects further alignment with the Mylan family. Michael Hermann was selected to assist Aerotel U.S.A. Inc.s licensing operations. Hermann comes to the Burlington company with more than 20 years of intellectual property protection and licensing experience as founder of Software Telemarketing Inc. and a partner of Software Advertising in Hartford. He is principal of Hermann & Associates in Panton. Aerotel is a wholly owned subsidiary of Aerotel Ltd. of Holon, Israel, which handles U.S. licensing of the Kamil patent, a system that enables prepayment of telephone calls. Mechanical contractor New England Air Systems Inc. of Williston hired three employees. Connie Ellsworth has joined as receptionist. Ellsworth was employed at Racquets Edge. Carl Gromatzky was hired as manager of the design department. Gromatzky has more than 15 years of experience in the building design and construction industry. Judy OMeara is the new accounts receivable billing clerk. OMeara was a customer service representative for Triad Temporary Services. Rick Van Arnam was appointed sales and marketing director of Mobilia.com, the online division of Mobilia magazine in Middlebury. Van Arnams responsible for expanding the Web sites sales and marketing efforts, especially in the areas of attracting auction content, securing partnerships with companies in the car and collectibles industries and developing content deals with Internet portals and related sites. He was director of major gifts at Norwich University and previously a senior sales and branch manager at CompuServe Network Services. Rural Cellular Corp. (RCC) in Alexandria, Minn., announced that Tom McLaughlin was named vice president of operations for the companys Atlantic operation, Cellular One, with regional headquarters in Colchester. McLaughlins responsibilities include managing daily operations and the senior management team. He most recently served as acting general manager for the Atlantic operation. Prior to joining RCC, McLaughlin held the vice president and general manager position for Atlantic Cellular Co. Eric Belliveau has become managing director of Vermont Energy Future Inc. in Burlington. Belliveau was general manager of Waterbury Fresh Foods in Burlington. He is launching the Vermont Consumer Energy Cooperative for the company. The co-op will provide energy, efficiency and renewable and fuel products to its members. Ursula Boehringer has advanced to senior accountant at Fothergill Segale & Valley, Certified Public Accountants in Montpelier. She has been with the firm since 1997. Boehringer concentrates in small business, partnership, and individual taxation; and non-profit and governmental accounting. Teresa Kajenski, CPA, was promoted to manager. She has been with the company since 1991. Kajenski concentrates in small business, partnership, and individual taxation; and non-profit and governmental auditing. Tensolite Interconnect Systems, a subsidiary of Tensolite Co. of St. Augustine, Fla., has relocated from 7 Avenue D, Williston, to a newly renovated facility at 30 Gauthier Drive in Essex. The company designs and manufactures cable assemblies for computer-related test equipment. President Dan LaChance announced Reliant Electric Works Inc. of South Burlington added Kevin Bataille to its staff, expanding its electrical services to include data communications. Bataille specializes in network Category 5, Category 6 and fiberoptic cabling with certified cable testing. Gretchen Kelly Giumarro has joined the business development department of Truex Cullins & Partners Architects in Burlington. Giumarro worked in admissions at the New England Culinary Institute. Dinah Daley and Dawn Perreault have joined Country Walkers in Waterbury. Daley was hired as assistant regional manager. She has experience in marketing and events planning as well as a background in securities and investment trading. She continues in her role as registration coordinator for the Vermont City Marathon. Perreault comes to the companys travel division as a travel agent. She has 15 years experience in the travel business and has established and managed several travel agencies. The travel division is a full-service travel agency. Country Walkers is a walking company offering 44 worldwide itineraries. Lynn Kynoch was named assistant property manager and office administrator at Coburn & Feeley Property Management in Burlington. Kynoch was administrative assistant with Coburn & Feeley. Cina Podlaseck was named administrative assistant at Coburn & Feeley Property Management at The Pines Senior Living Community, a Coburn & Feeley managed property. Podlaseck performs administrative duties at the community and other senior communities managed by the company. Stephen Meisel has become director of dietary services for The Arbors Alzheimers and Memory Impairment Center in Shelburne. Meisel was the dietary manager at St. Johnsbury Health and Rehabilitation in St. Johnsbury. He is a certified dietary manager and member of the Dietary Managers Association. David Gordon was hired as director of environmental services at The Arbors and The Pillars, Level III care facilities in Shelburne owned by Peverly Routhier Inc. Gordon was employed by Firetech Sprinkler Corp. in Colchester. He previously owned and operated DnA Enterprises Ltd., a property management firm in British Columbia, Canada. P. Mark DAngelo was hired as a project manager at construction company John A. Russell Corp. DAngelo has more than 20 years of experience in the construction industry and was formerly with Wright & Morrissey. Terry White was named vice president of construction. White, with more than 20 years experience, has been with Russell since 1994. He is responsible for commercial construction within the New England region. Stan Duda was named director of human resources. Duda has been with the company 15 years and served as a project manager and superintendent. Joel Izzo joined CyberDoctors Inc. as business manager. Izzo is responsible for marketing, advertising, proposal writing and Y2K research. He was a servicing analyst with Vermont Student Assistance Corp. in Winooski, where he designed and developed Microsoft Access databases and provided desktop support. Janet Stambolian has joined Kessel/Duff Corp. in South Burlington as director of business development. Stambolian has 25 years of experience in construction, project management and business development. She replaces John Caulo who took a position with Dartmouth College. Philip N. Shepard Jr. has joined New England Federal Credit Union in Williston as a loan production manager. Shepard has 12 years of experience as a banking officer for CFX Bank in Keene, N.H., his hometown. Most recently he was a financial center manager at Branch Banking and Trust Co. Bret L. Hodgdon joined John Davis & Associates Certified Public Accountants, PLC in Burlington as a staff accountant. Hodgdon is a 1998 graduate of Lyndon State College with several years of office experience. He is preparing to sit for the CPA exam. Denise M. Cote joined as staff accountant. Cote is pursuing a bachelors degree in accounting and business administration at Trinity College of. Erika L. Stecklare has become office manager. Stecklare has more than eight years of experience in office and personnel administration and bookkeeping. CEO William V. Boettcher announced that Thad A. Krupka was named chief operating officer at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington. Krupka has 34 years experience and was most recently director of operations for Hermann Hospital, a 654-bed academic medical center affiliated with the University of Texas Medical School in Houston. A former colonel in the U.S. Army, he was director of health care operations for the Army and responsible for deployment of all of the Armys health care personnel, supplies and equipment during Desert Storm. He also served in Vietnam and has been a consultant to the U.S. Surgeon General. David Phillips has joined Jager Di Paola Kemp Design in Burlington as director of brand strategy and business development. Phillips was manager of corporate identity and entertainment design at Sony Corp. of America, where he was instrumental in developing several new brands, including the Freq personal stereo, Sonys entertainment complex in San Francisco, Sony Online and Sony Entertainment Television Network. Phillips also spent time with Corporate Design and Communication, a marketing and identity consultant in New York City. His resume also includes time spent with Landor Associates; Kurth & Kurth, Architects; and Gerald Gulotta Industrial Design.
