Faces&PlacesJuly 1999Kathleen L. Schirling was promoted to assistant vice president at Chittenden Bank. Schirling works in the marketing department and oversees product management of deposit products. She has been with the department since 1990. Previously Schirling worked with Costco and Showtime Video. Carol Lusk was promoted to vice president and chief financial officer at The McKernon Group Inc. in Brandon. She has been with the company as comptroller for two years. Lusk was endowment investment manager at Middlebury College and CFO at Natural Elegance Inc. She owned a business and worked as an investment trader earlier in her career. Patricia Donehower, MSN, RN, has joined the Visiting Nurse Association of Chittenden and Grand Isle counties as director of adult health care. Donehower oversees the VNAs home visiting programs: Adult Home Care, Hospice of the Champlain Valley, Vermont Respite House and specialty nursing services. She was most recently director of nursing informatics at Fletcher Allen Health Care. William Davidson, MSHA, RN, has become director of clinical development. He oversees corporate compliance, risk management, performance improvement, intake and referral, medical records, utilization review and organizational training and development. Davidson was vice president of administrative services as Gifford Medical Center in Randolph. Lori Bowman, Mark LeGrand and Cynthia Chittenden have become salespeople at NewSound LLC in Waterbury. Scott A. Berry is president of the national media distributor that serves the toy, Celtic, new age, book, gift and specialty markets. LeGrand has been a performing artist for more than 30 years. Bowman has more than 10 years of sales and promotion experience, most recently within the world music market. Chittenden has more than six years experience in customer and retail sales and service. NewSound has signed Horizon West Music, Stephen MacDonald Productions and ADG Productions for exclusive distribution in the United States. Shannon Devereux joined Vermont Interactive Television as site coordinator of the Springfield site. Devereux comes to VIT with a degree in communications. Vermont Interactive Television provides videoconferencing services from 12 sites throughout the state. Tabitha Rivers has joined Alpha Omega Financial Services in Essex Junction as receptionist and office assistant. Among her tasks is the assembling of tax returns and acting as a liaison between staff and clients. Rivers was employed at Vermont National Bank. Leslee MacKenzie, vice president and general manager of Coldwell Banker Hickok & Boardman Realty, announced that Realtor JoAnn French, CBR, joined the company as a buyers agent working exclusively for Geri Reilly. French has more than nine years of residential real estate experience and specializes in buyer representation. Glenn A. Jarrett has become Of Counsel to Burlington law firm Carroll & Scribner. Jarrett was general counsel of Vermont Housing Finance Agency since 1987. His practice focuses on banking, commercial and institutional lending, trade regulation, estate planning and general civil litigation matters. Joseph M. Finnigan, president of Vermont Federal Credit Union in Burlington, announced the appointment of Robert G. Cowie to vice president of operations. Cowie has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. Most recently he served as the member products officer at Vermont State Employees Credit Union in Montpelier. He has joined the senior management team and is responsible for the daily operations of member services, lending, collections, marketing, business development and facilities management. Sue Martel was promoted to service support at mechanical contractor New England Air Systems Inc. in Williston. Martel has worked for the company for two years as a receptionist. Mike Henry was promoted from sheet metal fabricator and installer to estimator. He has a five-year tenure with the company. Ray St. Pierre has joined the company as service dispatcher. St. Pierre was a policeman with the town of Colchester for seven years. Patricia Underwood has joined Direct Financial Services Inc., a subsidiary of New England Federal Credit Union in Williston, as a mortgage loan officer. Underwood was a mortgage processor for Vermont Federal Bank from 1987 to 1991 before becoming a mortgage loan officer. She served as product manager from 1996 to 1999, during which time Vermont Federal merged with Vermont National Bank. She has produced cable access television programs and conducted training seminars for home buyers and Realtors. Faith I. Brown was named vice president for finance and operations of The Vermont Community Foundation in Middlebury, a statewide charitable fund. Brown served in senior management with the Visiting Nurse Association as director of planning and program operations. Her responsibilities at the foundation focus on financial management, investments, human resources, management information systems and planning. Perry Condon was named vice president and financial consultant for The Stratevest Group in Burlington. He is responsible for new business development and trust administration relationships with individuals and businesses. Condon was a personal financial adviser with American Express Financial Services in the Burlington market. The Stratevest Group is a member company of Banknorth Group. Lori A. Waller was elected assistant vice president in the commercial production department of Hackett Valine & MacDonald Inc., a South Burlington insurance agency. Waller has worked in the department as an account executive for 10 years. She joined the firm in 1984 as a commercial account representative. Waller is a director of Professional Insurance Agents of Vermont. Kim M. Negron has become a mortgage loan officer at Spruce Mortgage in Burlington. Negron was a paralegal at Doremus Associates in Burlington. Emily Ghiz has joined the sales and marketing team of Vermont Butter & Cheese Co. in Websterville. Ghiz was an instructor at the New England Culinary Institute in Montpelier. Pop Color moved from 47 Maple St. to 187 S. Winooski Ave., Burlington.
