Diane Way was named community outreach coordinator at Armistead Caregiver Services. She was director of sales and marketing for The Lodges Retirement Communities.
St. Michael’s College named Meghan A. Sweezey, a 2010 graduate, assistant director for alumni and parent relations. Sweezey was a school counseling intern in Hamilton, Mass. Jennifer Conetta was named assistant director of annual giving. A 2009 graduate of St. Michael’s, Conetta worked at Middlebury College.
Kristen Mark Hughes was appointed executive director of the Rutland Regional Planning Commission. Hughes is an executive planner with more than 30 years’ experience. He was director of the planning and research department for Ontario County, N.Y.
Tom McKeown joined the Vermont Health Co-op as chief operating officer. He was executive director of Business Resource Services.
Anne Borchers joined Redstone as lease administrator. She has four years of property management experience and 16 years of customer service and marketing experience.
Hickok & Boardman Inc. announced the hiring of five individuals: Ashley Getty, account manager; Bradway Widing, vice president of the insurance group’s renewable energy group; Emily Thomas, personal lines account manager; Laureen Mathon, commercial account manager; and Hayley Archer, junior commercial account manager. Getty was with Choice Strategies in Waterbury Center. Widing was with Johnson & Higgins and Willis Group Holdings. Thomas worked as a program coordinator and mentor in Vermont and Hawaii. Mathon and Archer were paralegals in Burlington.
Deborah Shenk joined HowardCenter’s development office as director of development. She was with Planned Parenthood of Central North Carolina. James Beebe-Woodard was named grants and research manager. He was executive director of the Vermont Teacher Diversity Scholarship Program.
Stride Creative Group announced the hiring of Jeremi Lashua as senior designer and Web specialist. Lashua was with Country Home Products.
PC Construction announced the promotion of Kevin Markhardt to vice president, water treatment, following Butch Bedell, who will retire in April after 45 years with the firm. Markhardt will assume leadership of the group after a five-month leadership transition process, ultimately reporting to Kevin McCarthy, the executive vice president. He has been with the company since 1998.
Aerie Consulting hired Chris Davidson as business development manager. Davidson has experience in sales, marketing, and coaching, most recently at St. Michael’s College.
Ashley Wishinski joined Mortgage Financial Inc. as a mortgage adviser. She was with Opportunities Credit Union.
Paul Frank + Collins announced that Kerin E. Stackpole, SPHR, has become a shareholder and director of the firm. She has been with the firm since 2011. James J. Pergolizzi was hired as an associate. His practice will focus on commercial real estate development, finance, lease, and purchase and sales transactions. Pergolizzi was with a Rochester, N.Y., firm.
Matthew Mears, P.E., joined DuBois & King Inc. consulting engineers as a project engineer. Mears is a professional engineer in Vermont, New Hampshire, and New York.
Engelberth Construction hired Mary Lintermann, P.E., as director of business development. She has experience in sale, marketing, and engineering. Ted Hirdler, LEED PA, was hired as estimator. He has more than 29 years’ construction experience.
Ledyard National Bank announced that Robert Christensen was hired as vice president and commercial relationship manager. He was vice president and commercial loan officer at People’s United Bank in White River Junction. Kevin De Rosa joined the bank’s Norwich office as assistant vice president and banking office manager. De Rosa has two years of banking experience and three years in retail management. He was with Bank of America in Hanover, N.H.
Bonnie Black joined the mortgage department at VSECU’s Burlington branch office. She has more than 20 years’ experience in the real estate and mortgage lending industry.
David Gile has retired after more than 20 years at Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC. The firm’s financial manager, Gile joined DRM in 1983. Linda Copson, the director of finance, will assume the position of chief operating officer. She joined the firm in 2006. Terri L. Schoolcraft was hired as financial director. She was with Weidmann Electrical Technology in St. Johnsbury.
Green Mountain United Way hired Pam Bailey as administrative assistant/bookkeeper. She was in the banking industry. Jeff Martin was named funding resources director. Martin recently moved to Vermont from North Carolina.
PC Construction announced the promotion of Kevin McCarthy, executive vice president, to president and chief executive officer, to be effective April 1, when Peter Bernhardt steps away from day-to-day leadership to become board chair, succeeding Jim Pizzagalli, who will remain a director. McCarthy, who joined the company in 1998, will become a member of the employee-owned company’s board of directors and a trustee of the employee stock ownership plan.
Kids VT named Carolyn Fox managing editor. Fox was the calendar editor for Seven Days, the parent company of Kids VT. She joined Seven Days in 2009.
Tom Beardsley was named vice president of group sales at the Radio Vermont Broadcast Group. WDEV AM, WDEV FM, Classic Vermont WCVT, WLVB FM in Morrisville, and WEXP FM in Rutland will be under his sales management. Beardsley worked at WDEV from 1973 to 1986, when he left the state to work in Maine.
Matt Kelly joined CCTV Center for Media & Democracy as director of Channel 17/Town Meeting Television and executive producer for CCTV Productions. Kelly returned to his native Burlington after working in New York and Los Angeles consulting on content creation for social media for several organizations.
Vermont Mechanical Inc. announced that John Plankey joined the staff as senior mechanical engineer, P.E. He has more than 12 years of mechanical engineering experience and eight-plus years of facilities engineering.
Tarah Woolgar, MS, LADC, was promoted to residential manager at Maple Leaf Farm. She joined the staff in 2006.
TD Bank promoted Denel L. McIntire to store manager of its two Woodstock stores. An assistant vice president, McIntire has been with the bank since 2007.
Marissa Strayer-Benton was appointed development director of the Vermont Symphony Orchestra. She was director of recruitment and program support for Mobius Mentoring Movement and was assistant inn director at Shelburne Farms.
Shelby Sorrentino joined the staff of the Governor’s Institutes of Vermont as office manager. She was project manager assistant at Academic Consortium for Global Education in Carefree, Ariz.
Maggie Hunter was named grants and foundation support director at Vermont Public Television. Hunter joined VPT in 2006 as major events and corporate support assistant. Since 2006, she has also been an adjunct faculty member at Champlain College.
Northfield Savings Bank announced that Nicole Hayes joined the company as a mortgage originator. Hayes is a Certified Mortgage Professional with over 20 years’ experience.

Middlebury College named Bill Burger vice president for communications. He was associate vice president for communications at Brandeis University, and has more than 30 years’ experience.
Scott Sinclair, CPCU, CIC, joined Hackett Valine & MacDonald as vice president of commercial lines. He has more than 20 years’ experience in insurance and sales. Peter Cowenhoven joined the firm as a sales executive. He has experience in investments and equity research.
The law firm Murphy Sullivan Kronk announced the retirement of its longtime employee Mary Guyette. Linda Beal was hired as a paralegal.
Mike Tuttle, president and CEO of Merchants Bank, announced that Zoe Erdman was promoted to senior vice president/senior operations officer. Laura Abbott will serve as senior credit officer, succeeding Erdman, who has been with bank more than 15 years. In her career at Merchants, she has served as senior vice president/corporate banking officer and as senior vice president/senior credit manager. She will manage information technology, facilities, and operations at the bank. Abbott was credit operations and loan compliance officer. Each woman brings more than 20 years’ experience in banking and finance to their positions.

Monessen Hearth Systems Co. of Paris, Ky., announced that it has changed its name to Vermont Castings Group to reflect the heritage of its iconic Vermont Castings brand. The company has a manufacturing plant and foundry in Vermont.
Karen Marshall joined Vermont Telephone Co. Inc. as president of VTel Data Network. Marshall, who has years of experience in telecommunications, was with the Shumlin administration as the head of Connect VT. •
