White + Burke Real Estate Investment Advisors Inc. moved to 40 College St., Suite 100, in Burlington in December. The newly renovated space offers natural light to all offices, a technologically well-appointed conference room, and the convenience of garage and on-street parking.

Bilodeau, Wells & Co. PC announced the addition of Susan Eddy and Andrew Pettis as staff accountants. Eddy is a 2012 graduate of Champlain College and was with Cota CPA PC. Pettis is a 2012 cum laude graduate of Castleton State College and achieved his master of science in accounting from that school in 2013.

Vermont Information Technology Leaders announced the appointment of Jennifer Starling, RN, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP, as project manager. She will work on installing clinical interfaces at Vermont health care organizations and provide clinical expertise on other VITL projects. She was with Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital.

SymQuest Group hired Rishad Ali as a purchasing agent. The role involves minimizing inventory and freight costs.

Central Vermont Medical Center announced that Michael Mason, M.D., has closed his private practice. He will continue to help cover the general surgery service as an on-call physician for CVMC, and will continue to share night and weekend coverage of general surgery, but will no longer see patients in the office. Office notes were forwarded to patients’ primary care providers.

Home Instead Senior Care hired Jessica Jovanovic, RN, MSN, as client care coordinator and caregiver educator. She was with Fletcher Allen Health Care. Karen Ferlito was named operations manager. She was with the Visiting Nurse Association of Chittenden and Grand Isle Counties.

Local Motion announced that it has appointed Emily Boedecker executive director. She was director of philanthropy and marketing at the Vermont chapter of The Nature Conservancy. Boedecker succeeds Chapin Spencer, Local Motion’s founding executive director.

Ledyard National Bank announced that Stefanie Brooks of Post Mills was promoted to vice president and credit department manager. She has been with Ledyard for four years.

DuBois & King consulting engineers announced that Nelson Lyford Jr., EI, joined the firm as a project engineer in the site and land development division. He works from the firm’s South Burlington office.

Mary Farley joined the Hickok & Boardman Insurance Group as director of operations and administration. Her background in executive management includes work with FedEx, Sunrise Senior Living, and Spalding Sporting Goods.

John Barbour, executive director of CVAA (Champlain Valley Agency on Aging) announced his intention to retire this year. He has been in the position for 26 years and with the agency for nearly 34 years. The board of directors is conducting a search for his successor.

Hadley Financial Group announced the hiring of three associates in its financial services practice. Annie Strout, a registered representative of NYLIFE Securities, holds life and health insurance licenses in Massachusetts and Vermont. David Huff is an agent with New York Life. Brian Groves is an agent with New York Life and was with Unifirst.

KSV hired Dan Hoene as video content producer. Hoene is a recent graduate of Emerson College in Boston with a degree in film production and a minor in photography.

Engineering Ventures announced the addition of Russell Miller-Johnson, P.E., as owner and shareholder. Miller-Johnson has been a senior engineer at the company since 2004 and has 32 years of progressive experience in sustainable structural engineering design.

Zach Davis joined Davis & Hodgdon Associates CPAs as an associate accountant. He is a recent graduate of Colorado State University and is preparing for QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification.

Chenette Real Estate announced that Dee Blanchard Goldsborough and Cindy Warfield joined the firm as real estate sales associates. Goldsborough has nine years’ experience as a mortgage loan originator. Warfield has been in local real estate sales for 17 years.

Bread Loaf Corp. hired Shaun Tulley as an IT/help desk specialist. He has more than 10 years’ experience.

Kyla Boyce was hired as service coordinator by Champlain Valley Services. Boyce has a bachelor of science in social work from Champlain College and was with HowardCenter.

Control Technologies announced the appointment of Rahul Kushwaha as corporate chief financial officer. He will work from the Vermont office. Kushwaha was revenue accounting and revenue processing director for the Vermont Department of Taxes.

People’s United Bank announced that Jay Vallieres was named mortgage account officer and assistant vice president. Vallieres has over 10 years of mortgage origination experience.

John Biondolillo announced that David Jamieson transferred from the BCK Real Estate Barre office to its sister company, Stowe Realty. Jamieson has retired from construction management.

Longtime Burlington attorneys Alan F. Sylvester, Michael S. Brow, and Amy Sylvester Averill, formerly of Sylvester & Maley, announced the continuation of their law practice under the name of Sylvester & Brow PLLC. The firm continues to be located at 78 Pine St., Burlington.

Alliance Mechanical hired Erik Packer as manager of the controls department and Skip Stuart as design build engineer.

Vermont Life hired Melissa Bounty as publishing and editorial assistant. She was associate publisher of Choose Your Own Adventure books in Waitsfield.

Three people have joined the staff of the Vermont Center for Integrative Therapy. Matt and Julieta Rushford will offer chiropractic services. Julieta is a longtime yoga practitioner; Matt’s practice will focus on pediatric and pregnancy care. Heather Paine was named office manager. She was co-owner of Candles & Creations.

Mansfield Hall announced the addition of two staff members to its team. Tim Rich, MEd, is educational director, and Megan Magnanelli, a licensed teacher, is educational specialist. Rich was with Champlain Valley Union High School. Magnanelli worked in the public school system as a teacher and professional tutor.

Joseph Ilacqua joined Union Bank as trust officer in the asset management group. He has 17 years’ management experience in the financial investment field. He will work with clients in Caledonia County and northern New Hampshire.

Eastman Benz announced that Norm St. Onge joined the staff as a strategic account manager, a newly created position. He will identify and cultivate new customers.

Vermont Mutual Insurance Group announced that the company’s chief executive officer, Thomas J. Tierney, retired as of Dec. 31. Tierney led the company for 19 years and will continue as chairman of the board.

Hanson & Doremus Investment Man­agement announced the addition of Julie Won, CFA, as a partner and shareholder in the business. Won worked with Hanson & Doremus for five years before relocating to Palo Alto, Calif., where she continued to work with the firm in investment research. She is opening an office in California, managing portfolios, and continuing to do investment research.

McFarland Johnson announced that Kasey Cybulak joined its South Burlington office as a structural engineer. A 2013 graduate of the University of Vermont, Cybulak was with Artisan Engineering.
