Mark F. Chadurjian oined Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC after over 30 years in business and intellectual property law at the IBM Corp. in Vermont and New York. He joins the firm Of Counsel and will practice in the Burlington office.

Lang McLaughry Real Estate announced the addition of Nancy Jensen to the firm’s Londonderry sales team. She earned her real estate license in 2008 and has been a broker since 2010. Emily Aloi joined the South Burlington sales team. Before earning her real estate license, Aloi was a member of Lang McLaughry’s operations staff. Maddalena Michetti joined the St. Albans sales team. She has lived in Franklin County for almost 20 years as owner and operator of a small glass studio. Josh Williams, formerly with the Biltmore Estate in North Carolina, joined the firm’s Manchester Village sales team.

PeakCM announced the addition of Jeffrey Davis, PE, to its team as vice president. Davis has 38 years of experience in preconstruction, project management, and executive leadership. He was executive vice president and an owner of DEW Construction.

Tom Martin and Joe Regan joined the Adam Hergenrother team at Keller Williams Vermont as buyer specialists. A former small-business owner, Martin earned a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering with a minor in business administration from The University of Vermont. Regan was operations manager for M2inc and graduated from Champlain College in 2009. Becca Shanahan-Galligani joined Universal Properties International (UPI) as chief operations officer. UPI is housed in Colchester with KW Vermont. She is a KW Approved Trainer.

Dinse, Knapp & McAndrew announced that Allison B. Wannop joined the firm. Wannop is a member of the litigation group with a focus on civil litigation and higher education. She was with a Boston firm.

Leyna M. Jackson joined the law firm of Merritt & Merritt & Moulton as a legal/marketing assistant. Jackson is a graduate of Brown University with a concentration in business, entrepreneurship, and organizations.

Jenny Lyons joined The Vermont Book Shop as sales and marketing manager. She was marketing manager at The King’s English Bookshop in Salt Lake City and is a former bookseller at the Northshire Bookstore in Manchester Center.

Caroline Casey joined the Financial Futures Program of the Champlain Valley Office of Economic Opportunity as a financial educator. She was an AmeriCorps member serving at Champlain Housing Trust.

Armistead Caregiver Services appointed Annmarie Plant, RN, BA, CCM, as president. Plant has been a colleague of founder Rachel Cummings and is a Registered Nurse with over 35 years’ leadership experience. She started the family caregiver and geriatric care management programs at the VNA.

Donald J. Laackman, appointed president-elect of Champlain College in December 2013, began his tenure as the college’s eighth president on July 1. He succeeds David F. Finney, who retired after nine years, and has worked with the transition team throughout the spring. Laackman was president of Harold Washington College in Chicago.

Mortgage Financial Inc. announced that Shawn Chapman joined Mark Chaffee’s team. Chapman has worked for more than 10 years in the lending industry, most recently at a local credit union.

Union Mutual of Vermont Companies announced that Geoffrey J. Smith was named director of commercial lines underwriting. He has over 27 years’ experience underwriting and managing accounts, and was with Ironshore Insurance Co. in Boston.

ReArch Co. hired David Meyer as project foreman. Meyer reports to the site superintendent and has over 10 years’ experience on residential and commercial projects. Liuba Desautels was hired as an accounting clerk. She held temporary accounting positions with Fletcher Allen Health Care and Gallagher, Flynn & Co. LLC.

Chris Sherman joined the team at V/T Commercial. He has 15 years of sales and finance experience, most recently with Burton Snowboards as national sales director and credit director.

The Winston Prouty Center for Child Development named Crystal Blamy a full-time coordinator/case manager in its family supportive housing program. For the last four years, Blamy has been permanency case manager at Becket Family Services in Manchester, N.H.

Mercy Connections announced that Anne Lezak was hired as director of education and transition programs. She has been a volunteer tutor in its education and transition program. Lezak was statewide coordinator for Benchmarks for a Better Vermont at the Marlboro College Graduate School.
