Element Real Estate of RE/MAX North Professionals announced that Realtor Thomas Senning joined the team. The Waterbury native has over a decade of marketing, sales, and customer relations experience.

Lindsey Wing was hired by The First National Bank of Orwell as a loan officer. She has over 11 years’ experience in the industry, most recently at National Bank of Middlebury. She works in the Shoreham branch.

The northern New England division of The Salvation Army announced the appointment of Maj. Patti Murray and Lt. Scott Murray as officers and pastors of the Burlington Corps. The Murrays had appointments in several Pennsylvania and New York locations, most recently, a corps appointment in Oil City, Pa. They replace Captains William and Stephanie Thompson, who received a new assignment.

Krista Richardson, a consumer lender at Vermont Federal Credit Union, has transitioned to the role of mortgage originator in the St. Albans market.

Vermont Information Technology Leaders named Judith A. Franz assistant vice president, program implementation. Franz will develop strategies and implement programs designed to accelerate the adoption of health information technology in Vermont and manage VITL’s e-health services team. She was with athenahealth Inc.

Frederick Morin, MD, dean of the UVM College of Medicine, and John Brumsted, CEO of Fletcher Allen Health Care, announced that Steven Braff, MD, has stepped down from his role as UVM chair of radiology and leader of the radiology health care service at Fletcher Allen. Kristen DeStigter, MD, the John P. and Kathryn H. Tampas Green and Gold Professor and vice chair of radiology at UVM/Fletcher Allen, has agreed to serve as interim chair and physician leader. Braff will continue serving as professor of radiology and as a clinical neuroradiologist.

Ledyard National Bank announced that Daniel Emanuele of Hartland was promoted to senior vice president and private banking manager. He has been a professional banker for 26 years. Kate Sims, also of Hartland, was promoted to private banking administrator. She joined Ledyard in 2010.

Wiemann Lamphere Architects announced that Dennis Webster has retired after 35 years at the firm, nearly 30 of them as a partner.

Stephanie J. Mapes was elected president of the law firm Paul Frank + Collins. Mapes has been a PF+C attorney for 26 years and follows in the footsteps of presidents R. Allan Paul, one of the firm’s founders; John T. Sartore; Alan D. Port; and S. Crocker Bennett II.

Pine Computers Inc. announced the promotion of Michael Ferland to the position of enterprise engineer. With over 15 years’ experience in IT, he has been with the company for four and a half years as a systems technician.

Kathleen Parrish joined Environmental Compliance Services Inc. as an environmental scientist I. She has six years’ experience in the industry and is responsible for site characterization and remediation activities at commercial properties, manufacturing facilities, underground storage tank system release sites, and other locations involving the release of hazardous wastes.

Dexter Mahaffey, Ph.D., was named the fifth head of school at Vermont Commons. A graduate of Middlebury College, Mahaffey worked at Country Day School of Louisville in Kentucky.

The Vermont Symphony Orchestra announced that Karen Paquin was named development director. She was executive director at the Jera Institute, a business services consulting company in Montreal.

DuBois & King hired Garrett Organek, EIT, as a civil engineer in the site and land division. He has experience in residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

Merchants Bank announced several appointments. Christine Auriemma was named regional banking manager for the Burlington metro area. She has been with the bank since 1991. Justin Cadoret was promoted to community banking manager for the Kennedy Drive branch in South Burlington. Cadoret joined the bank eight years ago. Erin Pond, promoted to community banking manager for the Williston Road branch in South Burlington, has been with Merchants for over 14 years. Erika Baldasaro moved from managing the College Street and North Avenue branches to become cash management officer in the commercial banking division. She joined the bank in 2013. Shelley Quinn was promoted to vice president in the government banking and cash management group. She joined the bank six years ago. Benjamin Hodges was promoted to assistant vice president–commercial banking officer. He has been with Merchants since 2012. Ethan Swain was promoted to assistant vice president–commercial banking officer and has been with the bank since 2012.

Burlington Mayor Miro Weinberger announced the appointment of Neale Lunderville as interim general manager of Burlington Electric Department. Lunderville was chief executive officer of NG Advantage, an energy company he co-founded that delivers compressed natural gas to industrial users. He served as secretary of administration and secretary of transportation in the Douglas administration and was the Tropical Storm Irene recovery officer for Gov. Peter Shumlin. A search continues for a permanent general manager.

Ledyard National Bank promoted Alison Bruce to vice president. Bruce is the bank’s compliance and BSA (Bank Secrecy Act) officer. She works in the Norwich office and has been with Ledyard for over 15 years.

Hickok & Boardman Insurance Group announced the addition of three stockholders: Jennifer Barrett, Matt Campbell, and Ian Sutherland. Barrett, a licensed property and casualty insurance agent and a licensed workers’ compensation insurance adjuster, joined the agency in 2009 and has nine years’ experience in the industry. Campbell joined the firm in 2008 as a client adviser for business insurance. Sutherland, also a client adviser for business insurance, joined the agency in 2009. He is a recent graduate of Leadership Champlain. Hickok & Boardman HR Intelligence named Greg Paradiso director of HR technology. He has over 25 years’ experience in human resources with mid-sized and large employers. He is a certified compensation professional, and was with McCormick Spices in Baltimore.

Vermont Technical College announced the appointment of Littleton Tyler as dean of administration. Tyler has worked at Vermont Tech since 2008, most recently as a research analyst and director of institutional research.

Justin Wicks, CPA, CGMA, joined Davis & Hodgdon Associates CPAs as a manager. Wicks has several years of tax and audit accounting experience with nonprofits, and private and publicly traded businesses. Joshua Boucher was hired as an associate accountant. He has tax and accounting experience in the medical insurance industry.

Kevin Parish was promoted to branch manager of Vermont Federal Credit Union’s Burlington branch. Parish joined the credit union in 2013.
