Communications Co.
Company Profile –
Caleidoscope Communications Co., a regional provider of user-friendly, integrated telecommunication services, was incorporated in February of 2001. As the former President of Burlington, Vermont based Network Services Corporation, Loretta Roby decided to utilize her many years of experience as a telecommunications industry professional and took an entrepreneurial leap by founding Caleidoscope Communications, an Authorized Verizon Agent and part of Verizon’s national Solutions Partner Program. In the past six years, Roby’s Caleidoscope has undergone a series of changes and transformations. What was once a company of three employees has now grown to 23 employees with headquarters in Burlington, Vermont with regional offices in Rutland, Vermont, Quincy, Massachusetts, and Presque Isle, Maine. Caleidoscope is now an authorized partner with a select number of Tier One and Tier Two carriers including One Communications, Level 3, AT&T Alliance Program, Verizon Business, and PAETEC and have established themselves as Value Added Resellers of quality hardware IP-PBX and data routing products from ShoreTel, Nortel and Adtran.
Products/Services –
Caleidoscope offers turnkey projects that start with private customer consultations. A certified Caleidoscope Strategic Network Consultant performs a thorough evaluation of potential customers’ current telecom services. After an evaluation is performed, Caleidoscope recommends options for efficiencies and upgrades in technology while keeping costs competitive. Once the customer agrees to a migration plan, Caleidoscope places an order on the customer’s behalf with one of their carrier partners. When adding hardware to a system, the equipment is thoroughly preconfigured, tested and installed by Caleidoscope employees to make sure the system that was sold is delivered and operating correctly. Caleidoscope prides itself in its thorough project management and high-level customer service including remote diagnostics, handling warranty claims on behalf of the client, maintaining a copy of the clients’ system configuration at a Network Operations Center (NOC) for rapid recovery from service disruptions or other failures, and installing replacement hardware.
Caleidoscope offers their customers a unique opportunity to utilize a leading Tier One network provider with a proven global network and engineering capabilities along with Caleidoscope’s expertise and technological savvy in the comfort of the customers’ office.
Some of the latest global technologies Caleidoscope offers include:
- IP Solutions: Hosted, VPN, Managed Gateways
- Switched Data Networks: Frame Relay, ATM, Sonet
- Private Line Services: DS-1, DS-3
- Virtual Private Line Services
- Flexible T-1 Applications
- IP PBX Applications
Caleidoscope’s experienced customer service staff offers full support for all of their products to ensure that all products are fully operational both now and in the future. Customers that are looking to make the switch from old analog services onto the new digital network are profiting from these efficient applications and gaining an advantage over competition.
Coming Soon –
Keep an eye out for a new website which will be launched early in September. It will offer new features including special offers, a blog, video, newsletter, product collateral, and other benefits to our customers.
Community Involvement –
The far reaching developments in communications technology of the last decade have resulted in the world becoming a smaller place where information can be exchanged in an instant. This guiding principle has transcended the corporate values of Caleidoscope Communications. Caleidoscope takes pride in its position as a member of the Vermont business community, while maintaining global awareness. Over the years, Caleidoscope and their staff have contributed to local organizations such as CCV, Howard Center for Human Services, King Street Youth Center, and Habitat for Humanity, while just recently they pooled resources to make a joint contribution to fund on-going humanitarian relief projects in Darfur.
